5th Grade Strings is a beginner orchestra class where students learn to play the violin, viola or cello. This group meets all year long. If students complete the year successfully, they are automatically placed in an intermediate orchestra class when they go to middle school.
Nichols Strings: Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:15 - 4:30PM
Elrod Strings: Wednesdays and Fridays from 3:15 - 4:30PM

Practice putting on your shoulder rest (violin and viola) or adjusting your end pin (cello)
Memorize the names of your open strings
Violins and violas need to practice putting their instrument in playing position
Get any materials you are still missing
